MARGARITA RAMIREZ - CUELLAR
Margarita, born on November 13, 1949, was a tomboy at heart, climbing trees, running so fast that you could never catch her to deliver some "cocotes" for whacking you, always wanting to be included in neighborhood baseball games, climbing to the roof of la colonia apartments like a monkey and kicking like a mule after developing strong legs from running.
Mague has always been very independent, not hesitating to say what is on her mind.  She has made decisions which at first seemed irrational but which eventually ended up being very rational indeed, eg jobs.
Mague continues to be very athletic, actively participating in organized softball and bowling, especailly the latter.  She has accumulated enough trophies to rival Earl Campbell.  Mague's athletic abilities have earned her several nicknames, none of which will be mentioned here for fear of getting punched out by Mr. Rocky himself her husband.
Her husband, whom she married on June 3, 1972, is a tough-bearded, handsome, curly haired, muscular hombre who can debone a man as easily as he can a chicken, being a top rate "carnisero"  Mague gets tearly eyed thinking about Daddy singing at her wedding and relished receiving called from Rudy on a regular basis.  She also remembers the summer of 64 when we returned from "El Norte", mom was at the wheel as we entered St. Louis in a five lane highway and mom nervously announces "ya no tengo gasolina"
Reynaldo, born on June 16, 1951 is very independant, just like Mague. He is very respectful of his elders, happy go lucky, smart enough to repair his own cars, cooperative and most of all "mi compadre"
The Cuellar family suffered a serious set back when Reynaldo required emgergency heart by pass surgery.  The kids were scared, Mague felt so alone, Reynaldo was put to sleep and Laredo and Houston seemed to far far away.  Family comfort was missing.
Reynaldo and Mague have lived in 15 different homes/appartments since getting married, and in seven different cities.  They now have a home in Arlington, Texas, minutes away from the Dallas Cowboys Texas Stadium and the Texas Rangers' Ballpark In Arlington.
The first born of the Cuellar's was Cynthia (Cindy) on October 1, 1974.  Cindy has been just like Mague and Sandra when they were her age, very cute but also a natural tomboy.  She was very curious child, learning by doing but at times gettting in trouble with her parents, grandparents and tios for breaking things she was exploring with her tiny hands.  Cindy went to four different high schools in many cities before she graduated. The constant moving has prepared her for the challenges of employment, meeting so many different people.  Cindy dearly loves her parents and misses her extended family in Laredo. She wishes promises of visits would be kept.  One of her most memorable moments was when she was 13, home alone with Cristy.  While playing on the swings, Cristy fell and broke both of her arms.  This was a huge challenge in her life.
Raul or Raulito, born on November 4, 1976. was the favorite grandchild of Daddy, not because he was perfectly mannered, but probably becaus he could eat nails...muy macho.
Raul successfully completed his high years by playing a football playoff game at Texas Stadium.  He used his smarts on the field to outmaneuver the opposition. After graduating from James Martin High School, he continued his studies, learning about electronics in general and computers in particular.  Raul now has a good paying job at Southwestern Bell.
Cristina Rebecca Cuellar, the third and last child of Reynaldo and Mague, was born on May 10, 1982.  She recalls having to make new friends while growing up due to many moves, but vividly remembers the Easter Celebrations at Tio Pollo's Ranch.  She misses the story telling of her Tios and Tias and would love to have access to menudo on a regular basis.  Currently has a part time job at Eckerd's in Arlington, attends James Martin High School like her brother as an 11th grader and is an active participant on the Martin Colorguard and Xpress Winterguard.
